The program included the resident chorus concert and sing-along.
The Evergreens, a continuing care retirement community in Moorestown, recently celebrated its 17th Annual Christmas Program. The program included the resident chorus concert and sing-along, as well as a holiday reenactment of “The Night Before Christmas!”
Members of the resident chorus spread holiday cheer to their fellow residents, staff, family and friends of the community who attended. This year’s concert featured a variety of traditional, upbeat holiday songs including “Deck the Halls” and “Jingle Bells.”
The play, narrated by resident Jack Kolb, had the audience entertained and laughing. The skit also featured two special guests, Brady and Bryce Catanella, who are the grandsons of residents Hugh and Pat Joyner, who starred in the role of the children in the play. The festive night ended with a sing-along and a special visit from Santa Claus himself.
“Our annual holiday concert is a favorite for family, friends, staff and guests of the community,” said Doug Halvorsen, president and CEO at The Evergreens. “The event has become a tradition for our community — the holidays would just not be the same without a performance from our Resident Choir and our annual holiday play.”
