This week a longtime Lenape Regional High School District BOE member was honored for his service to the board, a Marlton resident and her son spearheaded a toy drive for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Evesham Holiday Wishes program made a big impact on the holidays for some young residents. Lenape Regional High School District BOE honors board member Joseph Borucki

At its Dec. 21 regular meeting, the Lenape Regional High School District (LRHSD) Board of Education and administration thanked long-time member representing Evesham Township, Joseph Borucki, for his service. Borucki, who served for 18 years, chose not to run for another term in the November election. Learn more about the warm thanks offered to Borucki.

Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice welcomes physician and Mt. Laurel resident John Bertagnolli Jr.

John Bertagnolli Jr., DO, of Mt. Laurel, has joined Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice as a hospice physician. He is the fifth staff doctor at the Marlton-based not-for-profit, whose 329 employees provide a range of services for people with serious illnesses and their families. Marlton resident and her son spearhead second annual Holton’s Heroes toy drive for CHOP

More than 3,000 toys were loaded into a truck by children from Marlton and Cherry Hill on Dec. 20 to be donated to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Marlton resident Sam Levin, 10, and his mom Lauren Levin, spear-headed this annual fundraiser in honor of Sam’s cousin, Holton, who experienced a traumatic brain injury (TBI) at 11 weeks old.

Evesham Holiday Wishes program makes holidays bright for young residents who need it most

Marlton’s morning sky might have been filled with dark clouds and freezing rain on Dec. 17, yet inside the Indian Spring Country Club, the mood was nothing but bright and warm. And that mood only grew throughout the morning when more than 100 young Evesham residents and their families filled the building for another successful year of the Evesham Holiday Wishes program.

Van Zant Elementary holds pirate-themed math night for students

All hands were on deck for Van Zant Elementary School’s annual Math Night on Dec. 7. The pirate-themed event encouraged families of students to work together and have fun with math in order to score some treasure. Learn how about 225 participants — students and their families — came to solve math problems.
