Lass, a senior goalkeeper for Ithaca College, was named to the Empire 8 All-Conference Second Team for 2016 and received the Sportswoman of the Year Award.
A Cherry Hill native was recently named one of the top players in the Empire 8 Conference for the 2016 collegiate field hockey season.
Katie Lass, a graduate of Cherry Hill High School West, was named to the Empire 8 All-Conference Second Team for 2016. Lass was also named Sportswoman of the Year for 2016. She just completed her senior season at Ithaca.
Lass had a solid season for the Bombers, earning four individual shutouts on the season. She started every game for Ithaca, finishing the season with 121 saves and a save percentage of .812.
In addition to the year-end honors, Lass was once named Defensive Player of the Week in the Empire 8 this past season. She was also selected to place in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Senior Game.
