The Cherry Hill-based marketing firm helped raise thousands for charity in 2016
Citing a steadfast commitment to philanthropy, Signature President Kenneth Weinraub emphasizes the importance of supporting the local community as well as a nonprofit close to his heart.
During the last year, volunteer opportunities and giveback events have been the focus at Signature. Weinraub believes in creating a strong company culture through the bonding of giving back.
In 2016, the Signature team participated in the Annual Golf Outing for the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund, where more than $1,500 was raised, and the Tri-State K9 5K where more than $8,000 was raised.
“My Signature colleagues and I are proud to emerge as community leaders through our consistent charitable initiatives,” said Weinraub. “We support our region in a variety of ways throughout the year, and our most recent effort benefitted the Tri-State K-9 Response Team. We had approximately 60 people attend a 5K race, and our team members placed first, second, and third in the event. In all, we raised $8,000!”
Signature and Tom Coughlin Jay Fund
Signature hosted a golf outing to raise awareness and donations for the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund in June. The event was attended by 60 people and helped raise more than $1,500 for the Jay Fund, which assists families with children facing cancer. Tom Coughlin, former head coach of the New York Giants, provided footballs bearing his signature for the event.
“We are very proud to have been able to put together this event to assist the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund in helping families struggling with childhood cancer,” Weinraub said. “Cancer is a devastating disease and takes a particular toll on the children it affects and their loved ones. With the money raised at our golf outing, which goes directly to the fund, we know that several families in need will receive the help necessary to keep up the good fight against this deadly malady.”
The Jay Fund will be taking a special focus this month for Signature’s annual Holiday Party. The Holiday Party, which takes place in Atlantic City, will be centered around raising $2,000 for the Jay Fund. Weinraub and the rest of the Signature, Inc. leadership group believe holiday gatherings represent the best ways to amplify a company’s culture.
“You get to emphasize your firm’s priorities every time you get together for a big holiday party,” Weinraub said. “If you want to recognize individual achievement, collaboration, or community giveback, you can do those things as you have fun and make memories.”
