The Grace Place Preschool had a successful JDRF Kids Walk for a Cure on Tuesday, Nov. 15.
Despite the rainy and cold weather, the students were able to walk inside the school and church with the teachers, parents and Pastor Jones. Two weeks prior to the walk, the children were given paper sneakers to sell for $1 to raise money to help find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.
The school exceeded its goal of $1,000. More than $1,300 was raised for JDRF. A check was presented to JDRF-South Jersey and there are still donations coming in.
