Residents can dispose of old holiday lights at this year’s Winterfest Event on Dec. 2

The Evesham Green Team encourages residents to help to keep non-working strings of lights out of the waste stream.

At this year’s Winterfest event on Dec. 2, the Evesham Green Team is providing a drop-off box for residents’ non-working holiday lights.

Residents just need bring their old lights with them to the Winterfest celebration on Friday, Dec. 2, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Main Street Firehouse.

A box designated for non-working lights will be available. Residents can place them in the box and then enjoy the rest of the festivities.

The Green Team encourages residents to help to keep these non-working strings of lights out of the waste stream.

No other electronics / electrical devices will be accepted at the Winterfest event.

Instead, Evesham residents can recycle all other electronic and electrical items at the Public Works Facility during regular hours of operation.

The Green Team asks residents to keep it green this holiday season and all year.
