This is a a juried exhibition of photographs by regional artists at the Perkins Center’s Moorestown Gallery.
Perkins Center for the Arts announced “Photography 36,” a juried exhibition of photographs by regional artists at the Perkins Center’s Moorestown Gallery. The juror, Sarah Stolfa is s an American contemporary artist, photographer, and musician and the founder/executive and artistic director of the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center.
Work must be hand delivered and received on “Receiving Friday,” being held on Friday, Jan. 13, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., through Sunday, Jan. 15, from noon to 4 p.m. Artists may enter up to three works at an entry fee of $10 per entry. The opening reception will be Sunday, Feb. 4 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. This event is free and open to the public with an awards ceremony at 2 p.m.
Awards include up to five Juror Awards totaling $500 for Artistic Excellence. Exhibited works will be offered to the Philadelphia Museum of Art for their photography collection with a maximum purchase award of $600. Three artists will then be invited by Perkins Center’s curator for inclusion in a future exhibition at the Collingswood Gallery in 2018.
