There will be increased patrols beginning on Wednesday and continuing through Saturday.
The Cherry Hill Police Department is helping to keep the local community safe this holiday weekend with increased DWI-detection patrols.
Starting on Wednesday through Saturday, Cherry hill Police will have enhanced DWI patrols above the regular number of officers looking to remove impaired driver from the roadways.
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration statistics show that more people are killed by impaired drivers over the Thanksgiving holiday than over the New Year period, making it the most dangerous holiday to be on the road. Last year in New Jersey, 111 of the 562 traffic crash fatalities were found to be alcohol-related.
