The Center is prepared to honor as many as three deserving individuals at its annual awards dinner.
The Volunteer Center of Burlington County today announced it is once again seeking nominees for its prestigious Lloyd Ritter Community Service Award. The public is encouraged to submit the names of individuals who deserve to be honored because of their outstanding records of community service and volunteerism.
Volunteer Center President Kimberly Mattson said this is the only the second time that the public has been actively asked to participate in the nomination process. Once again, the Center is prepared to honor as many as three deserving individuals at its annual awards dinner scheduled for spring 2017.
“Public participation in the nomination process resulted in a wonderful success story last year,” said Mattson. “We honored a high school guidance counselor who taught students the value of community service by doing, a banker whose support of active military personnel raised the high bar for patriotism, and an insurance risk manager whose record of community service including activities at the local and state level.”
“Once again, we are seeking the public’s help in identifying those volunteers whose deeds deserve recognition. And we know there are many unsung, low profile community activists who fall into this category,” Mattson stated.
“That said, we are asking county residents to bring to our attention their neighbors, coworkers, and acquaintances they deem worthy of the Community Service Award, and take the time to provide us with some background information,” she added.
