Geneva R. Moore of Tabernacle passed away on Oct. 22 with her family by her side. She was 70. Born to the late Walter & Ruth Kashady in Philadelphia and raised in Marlton, Geneva has lived in Tabernacle since 1977. Geneva worked and volunteered in education her entire adult life, finishing her professional career as a business administrator for the Palmyra School System. She served 16 years on the Tabernacle Board of Education including a six-year tenure as president. She was serving on the BOE for a second time, currently as vice president. Geneva was also past president of the Burlington County Agriculture Board, past vice president of the State Board of Agriculture and past president of the North American Cranberry Growers Association.

Geneva leaves behind her loving husband of 46 years, Samuel R., Jr. She is survived by her children, Margaret (Gary) Andress of Shamong, David (Brenda) Elbertson of Tabernacle and Sammy III (Penny) of Tabernacle. Geneva is also survived by her grandchildren, Sammy IV, Matthew, Elizabeth, Gary, Jr., Michele, and Courtney and her brother, Walter (Carol) Kashady of Myrtle Beach.

Relatives and friends were invited to visit with the family and attend the service on Thursday, Oct. 27 at the Lechner Funeral Home in Medford. Interment was at Jr. Mechanics Cemetery in Tabernacle.
