We look forward to an innovative and engaged 2016–2017 school year and all of the opportunities and excitement that it will bring.
The 2016–2017 school year is operating at full speed within our Moorestown Township Public Schools. Many exciting improvements and advancements are underway for our students, staff, and families.
The district distributed a total of 1,946 Dell laptops to the students in grades seven through twelve as part of our continuing successful five year technology plan. Our one-to-one laptop program expanded to include grades six, ten, eleven, and twelve. Students in grade six will receive their laptops in November adding an additional 295 laptops to the total. Our technology plan supports our students and teachers by providing access to the global learning community, engaging content, rich resources, and diverse learning tools.
Additionally, the district launched a fully redesigned Moorestown Township Public Schools website and a Facebook page as part of our continuing commitment to improve technology and communication.
MTPS continues to build on our efforts to refine our district’s mission of “Excellence, Equity, and Engagement via Partnership”. We continue our work toward our shared goal of connecting, inspiring, and supporting our students with a total dedication to their social, emotional, and academic development. We will continue to make improvements to the website and make it more informative and useful to the community, as well as easier to navigate. Please visit the new www.mtps.com website and explore the improved individual school-based and district-wide pages, as well as our newly launched Moorestown Township Public School Facebook page. This Facebook page will help us convey and share information to parents and community members on school-based and district-wide events, as well as any emergency notifications. “Like” us on Facebook. The Board of Education fully supports and endorses these technology advancements which deepen our connections and communications.
Congratulations are in order for all the stakeholders in our district as Moorestown ranked 112th on Newsweek’s 2016 List of Top Public High Schools in the country. This ranking validates our district’s commitment to providing a competitive, world-class education and continuing commitment to excellence and improvement for our students and families.
We look forward to an innovative and engaged 2016–2017 school year and all of the opportunities and excitement that it will bring.
