Picture this — a masterful watercolor painting that is yours to keep, and even better, you’re the artist. Learn from award-winning artist Pat Morgan in a two-day session on watercolor painting being held on Tuesday, Oct. 25 and Tuesday, Nov. 1, including the techniques for capturing gesture, using color changes to create transparent washes, and the treatment of edges at “Watercolor Classes,” in this new class hosted by Medford Leas located at 1 Medford Leas Way.
Morgan’s relaxed, supportive approach to teaching will lead participants in creating paintings in which they capture ‘just the essence,’ whether in figures, flowers, or landscapes. Individual instruction will be given throughout both days, as well as a gentle critique at the end of the workshop.
Register by Friday, Oct. 14 to secure your spot in this two-day class, which is being offered for $50 in total. Registrants are responsible for the purchase of supplies prior to the first session; a list will be shared prior to the first class. This course is designed for those who have had some watercolor experience.
Morgan only began to paint after her retirement. She now is a signature member of the North East Watercolor Society, the New Jersey Water Color Society, and the Garden State Watercolor Society. Her watercolors are included in her husband’s poetry books, and she has received several local and regional awards.
