The Mt. Laurel AARP Chapter will hold its next meeting on Thursday, Oct 6 at 1 p.m in the Mt. Laurel Community Center, 100 Mt. Laurel Rd and Walt Whitman Ave.
The League of Women Voters will present ‘:Voting: What’s In It For Us?’
Decisions made in the privacy of the voting booth determine everything from the school budget to who sits in the Oval Office.
This Program will look at why voting is importing, the process of voting and some of the challenges the public might face in exercising its voting rights.
Reservations will also be accepted for the Nov. 15 bus trip to the American Music Theater for a live on-stage show, buffet luncheon and shopping at the Kitchen Kettle Village.
The price of $110 is all inclusive.

Pizza orders for the Nov. 3 pizza party will be taken at the meeting.
For $7, there will be a choice of two slices of plain or pepperoni pizza, soda and cookies for dessert.
Donations of non-perishable food will also be collected for the Women’s Opportunity Center.
