The following report is on file with the Evesham Police Department:
On Sept. 6, at 6:45p.m., officers responded to the Heritage Park on Caldwell Avenue for a concerned resident who reported observing narcotic activity in the park.
Upon Officers arrival they stopped a vehicle they observed leaving the area. During the investigation officers arrested the driver who was wanted by the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department and was found to be in possession of heroin and pharmaceutical pills. A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up burglary tools, GPS units, iPods and a laptop computer, all found to be stolen from vehicles in neighboring Burlington County Towns.
Arrested:
A male, age 40, of Hammonton, was charged with third degree possession of heroin, third degree possession of pharmaceutical pills, and fourth degree possession of stolen property. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail.
