Burlington County Sheriff Jean Stanfield announced on Wednesday, Aug. 31 that her department will be holding a free Caring For Our Parents seminar on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Burlington County Library located at 5 Pioneer Boulevard in Westampton. Registration is required for middle-aged residents who are looking for guidance on assisting their elderly parents are encouraged to attend this free day-long course.
“Many of us are going to face a time when our parents are no longer able to care for themselves,” said Burlington County Sheriff Jean Stanfield. “When that situation happens, there are usually many more questions than answers. This program is designed to provide important information that will help with all your questions.”
Burlington Sheriff Jean Stanfield will provide a discussion on the various senior citizen programs available through the Sheriff’s Office as well as a few guest speakers.
“There are a myriad of health, financial and other issues that our senior citizens face on a day-to-day basis,” said Sheriff Jean Stanfield. “This all-encompassing course is geared toward those who want to learn how they can help their parents cope with these issues.”
