The following reports are on file with the Moorestown Police Department:
On August 25, Moorestown detectives have charged a local home improvement general contractor with theft as a result of an investigation. A v52-year-old male has turned himself in at the Moorestown Police Department after being charged 25, as the result of investigation where he is accused of misappropriating money from a Moorestown victim’s home improvement loan in excess of $75,000. He was released after posting bail. He was also charged earlier this week with an additional charge of theft from a similar investigation conducted by the Lumberton Police Department.
On August 25, a 47-year-old male of Randolph Street in Camden was arrested and charged with theft. He removed a victim’s purse from store register cabinet at Lord and Taylor. The purse contained a cell phone, credit cards and $76 in cash. He was released on a summons.
On August 22, a 21-year-old male and a 27-year-old female, both from Brooklyn, were arrested and charged with two counts of forgery for passing counterfeit $100 bills at Victoria’s Secret and Express in the Moorestown. The male also had an additional eight more bills on him and a search of vehicle revealed 17 more bills along with merchandise in the trunk. He was committed to the Burlington County Jail in default of $15,000 bail and the female was committed to the Burlington County Jail in default of $25,000 bail.
On August 20, a 20-year-old female of Elm Street in Beverly was arrested and charged with shoplifting. She concealed a cologne tester valued at $84 from Boscov’s Department Store in the Moorestown Mall. She was released on a summons.
On August 19, a 40-year-old woman of Manor Road in Beverly was arrested and charged with shoplifting. She concealed dresses from Macy’s Department Store in the Moorestown Mall for a total value of 188. She was released on a summons.
On August 19, a 34-year-old male of Haines Ave. in Barrington was arrested and charged with shoplifting. He concealed clothing from Boscov’s Department Store in the Moorestown Mall for a total value of $247. He was released on a summons.
On August 16, as the result of a motor vehicle stop, A 34-year-old of Brinkerhoff Street in Jersey City was arrested and charged with obstruction for providing false information to police officer.
On August 12, a 33-year-old man of South 61 Street in Philadelphia was arrested and charged with shoplifting. He concealed 13 Polo brand shirts for a total value of $754 from Lord and Taylor. He was transported to the Burlington County Jail in default of $75,000 bail.
On August 9, a 35-year-old female of North Stillman Street in Philadelphia was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property. Also charged with receiving stolen property was a 21-year-old female also of North Stillman Street in Philadelphia. Subjects stole various items from numerous stores in the Moorestown Mall and when confronted by security they dropped the items in the parking lot and fled. Merchandise was taken from Victoria’s Secret, Lady Footlocker, Crazy 8’s, Zumiez and Payless Shoes. Both subjects were remanded to the Burlington County Jail on $2,500 bail.
On August 5, a 25-year-old male of Bruster Turn in Willingboro was arrested and charged with theft by deception. He took men’s clothing valued at $69.96 from Boscov’s and returned items for gift cards. He was released on a summons.
