Freeholder Mary Ann O’Brien announced that the Burlington County Farmers Market will be closing out the summer season this Saturday, Aug. 27. The day will feature live music, cooking demonstrations and more.
“It’s hard to believe that the end of summer is nearly upon us, kids will be heading back to school next week and temperatures are already beginning to cool off,” said Freeholder O’Brien. “This summer has been a great one for our market, providing live entertainment and fresh local crops to help celebrate its 10th season.”
The Farmers Market, located at the County Agricultural Center on Centerton Road in Moorestown, features locally grown Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables, annual and perennial plants, cut flowers, baked goods and other prepared foods, cheeses, live entertainment, cooking demonstrations and unique crafts.
“This Saturday ‘The Bad Dogz,’ a popular central Jersey based Celtic/bluegrass band, will be on hand to provide live music,” explained Freeholder O’Brien. “Many of the market’s regular vendors will be on hand to mark the end of the season, for a complete list and residents can visit burlcoagcenter.com.”
“While we’re all a bit sad to see summer go, we can’t wait to see what the Fall Harvest brings,” Freeholder O’Brien added. “The market will continue to be open every Saturday rain or shine through Oct. 31.”
