Event on Sept. 17 to benefit Fox Hollow Swim Club, CHEF
The Fox Hollow Fox Trot 5K Run presented by MedTalents, Inc. is back for its second year. The inaugural event, held last year, was a huge success with more than 230 runners and walkers finishing the race. Thanks to the generosity of 27 local businesses, the event raised thousands of dollars towards much needed property renovations at the Fox Hollow Swim Club and raised $2,500 for the Cherry Hill Education Foundation.
This year’s event will be held at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17. The entire race will be held inside the neighborhood of Fox Hollow on a USATF certified course. The starting line will be adjacent to 80 Partridge Lane. The course will travel through Partridge Lane, the Harrowgate Loop, Thackery Lane, parts of Pendleton and Pawtucket drives, Cohasset Lane, Hadleigh Drive, Brondesbury Drive, Kingsdale Drive and Rymill Run. The finish line will be at the crosswalk in front of the Fox Hollow Swim Club.
There will be an award ceremony held inside the swim club at 9 a.m. following the race. It will include music, food provided by local restaurants and caterers, medals for top race finishers in many different age groups and giveaways for race participants. Double Nickel Brewery will be on site providing complimentary beer tasting flights to all race finishers of legal age with proof of identification.
Race shirts will be provided to all pre-registered participants and as supplies last on race day.
All proceeds raised from the event will be donated to the Fox Hollow Swim Club with a portion given to the Cherry Hill Education Foundation.
As the race is likely to draw hundreds of participants and supporters, please consider parking at Beck Middle School or parking at a friend’s home and walking to the starting line as no parking will be allowed along the course for safety reasons.
