Shamong residents graduate from colleges, named to dean’s list

Katherine Elizabeth Ford graduated Magna Cum Laude from James Madison University. Marianne Conover graduated with a degree in health sciences from James Madison University.

Carl Straw of Shamong has been named to the dean’s list at the University of Hartford for the spring 2016 semester.

Casey Christine Brockett was named to the president’s list at Clemson University for the spring 2016 semester.

Christopher Drozd was named to the spring 2016 dean’s list at University of the Sciences.

Shae Muller was named to the dean’s list at the University of Delaware for the spring 2016 semester.

Kristen Pogozelski graduated from Lafayette College.

In commencement exercises on May 17, Fairleigh Dickinson University conferred more than 3,000 degrees, ranging from associates to doctorates, on graduates, at MetLife Stadium. Scott Price of Shamong earned a bachelor’s in individualized studies at FDU’s Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck. Yifan Shen of Shamong earned a bachelor’s in electrical engineering at FDU’s Metropolitan Campus.

Students at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Florham Campus, located in Madison, and Metropolitan Campus, located in Teaneck, have been named to the dean’s and honors lists for the spring 2016 semester. Makenzie Welch, Dillon Hathaway, Madison Welch, Yifan Shen and Daniel Nowakowski of Shamong have been named to the honors list. Nowakowski has also been inducted into FDU’s Phi Omega Epsilon honor society for the spring 2016 semester. Jenna Keller of Shamong has been named to the dean’s list.

Riley McHugh of Shamong, majoring in finance, earned dean’s list honors for the spring 2016 semester at Saint Joseph’s University.
