The Fourth of July has come and gone, and we are half way to the December holidays. Where does the time go?
On Wednesday, July 20 at 2:30 p.m. you can discover what powers the world with Piccirillo Storytelling. There will be hands on experiments to entertain and teach about power and energy.
Don’t forget our expanded Family Movie nights. On July 19, join us to view “Max”, a touching story about a four legged, injured Afghanistan war veteran and his rehabilitation. “The Neverending Story” will be shown on July 26. A sensitive little boy, still grieving for his mother, finds respite in a book which chronicles the plight of Fantasia, a magical land created by the dreams and imagination All movies begin at 6 pm.
There is still time to be part of our music series. Little Summer Music is an age appropriate introduction for children 6 to 12 to learn more about the instrument of the week through seeing, touching and actually playing it. July 18 is Violin; and July 25 is Guitar. All programs begin at 1:00 p.m.
Something new is Survival of the Fittest for children ages 3 and up on July 26 at 2:00 p.m. Eyes of the Wild will be at the library to teach about how animals survive in the wild with their strength and speed. There may even be a few animals to meet.
All day on July 15 we are offering our Summer Make-n-Take Craft. This month the craft will be a firefly sun catcher.
The summer reading program is ongoing and there is still tome to join and win prizes based on the number of books read or the hours spent reading. Different age groups have different criteria.
