With so many amazing people working alongside one another with some of the east coast’s most amazing wines — it’s no surprise that each person has their own approach to a great sangria recipe. For this reason, the Valenzano Family Winery is hosting another round of their Annual Sangria Contest on July 24 from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Valenzano Festival Grounds located at 1320 Old Indian Mills Road.
Visitors can gauge the friends, family and folks of Valenzano Winery to decide who has the rights to boast the title of ‘best sangria’. Sangrias are made in-house by staff of Valenzano Winery, and guests are invited to sample all of these wonderful creations and select a winner. Last year over 24 employees submitted a sangria to the contest. Tickets are $15, and all will be available for sampling. In order to be compliant with ABC regulations — pours will be limited in size.
(This is a rain or shine outdoor event. In the event of extreme weather conditions the Sangria Festival will be moved to Sunday, July 31)
