Camden County will be hosting a march in remembrance of the victims of the Orlando, Fla. shooting on Wednesday night.
The Camden County Freeholder Board will host a “March for Love” beginning at 7 p.m. at Cooper River Park. Residents are invited to march in solidarity with Orlando and to honor victims by spreading a message of love and equality in our community today and for future generations.
Participants are invited to wear clothing in shades of rainbow colors and to make signs, banners and personalized t-shirts in honor of the victims. On June 12, 49 people were killed and dozens more wounded in a shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando.
March for Love t-shirts will be available for purchase at the event. Proceeds will benefit the One Orlando fund created by the city of Orlando to help the victims and their families.
The event will behind with a rally at Cooper River Park’s Jack Curtis Stadium. A march along North Park Drive will follow.
