The Friends of Percheron Park wins Moorestown Sun’s Ray of Hope contest

Congratulations to this year’s winner in The Moorestown Sun’s Ray of Hope contest: The Friends of Percheron Park!

The organization received almost twice the number of votes as any of the other worthy organizations that were nominated for this year’s award. For winning the contest, The Friends of Percheron Park will receive a $500 donation from the Ray of Hope Fund, which was created by Elauwit Media, publisher of The Sun.

The other organizations that were nominated were the 4th of July Parade, Girl Scout Troop 22169 and Project Graduation.

Members of the community were asked to nominate organizations for the award by writing a 300-word essay on why the organization they were nominating deserved the $500 award.

The Moorestown Sun then published those essays in the paper and online, and the Moorestown community voted to determine the winner.

Margo M. Foster wrote the winning essay for The Friends of Percheron Park.

To read all four essays, visit www.moorestownsun.com and search “Ray of Hope.”

Congratulations again to The Friends of Percheron Park, and thank you to everyone who submitted a nomination and voted!
