The following information was provided by the Medford Township Police Department.
On May 15 at 6:20 p.m., a Medford police officer , observed suspicious male standing in front of the Citgo gas station at 174 Route 70. The male was observed entering the gas attendant’s booth where cigarettes and cash are kept. The male then exited the booth and ran west on Route 70.
Medford Police stopped the male, later identified as a 19-year-old from Elkton, Md., and determined that he had just shoplifted a pack of cigarettes. The man was arrested and also had marijuana and a pipe containing marijuana residue in his possession. He was transported to the police headquarters and processed. He was charged with shoplifting, possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending a municipal court date.
