Video recorder found in female employee restroom in this week’s Mt. Laurel Police Report

The following reports are on file with the Mt. Laurel Police:

At 1:36 a.m. on May 4, Mt. Laurel Police located a suspicious occupied vehicle on Walton Avenue near Marter Avenue. During the investigation officers arrested a male, age 49, of Voorhees. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and released pending a court hearing.

At 8:48 p.m. on May 3, Mt. Laurel Police responded to the parking lot of the shopping center at 3747 Church Road for an assault report. A 22-year-old male victim reported he was about to enter his vehicle when he was punched in the face by an unknown juvenile male. The victim said he punched the suspect in the face and the suspect fled towards Waverly Avenue with two other juvenile males.

At 6:40 p.m. on May 3, Mt. Laurel Police responded to a residence on East Daisy Lane for a theft report. The resident reported electronics valued at over $1000 had been stolen from the residence. The investigation determined that the victim’s roommate stole the items and pawned them. Officers arrested a male, age 30, of Mt. Laurel. He was charged with theft and released pending a court hearing.

At 8:37 a.m. on April 22, Mt. Laurel Police responded to DaVita Dialysis Center on the 100 block of Gaither Drive for the report of a video recorder found in a female employee restroom. Investigators determined that a compact video recording camera had been hidden in the female employee’s restroom and positioned to record the occupants.

On May 3 a long time employee of the medical center, a male, age 57, of Sicklerville, was arrested at his residence by the Mount Laurel Police Department with the assistance of the Winslow Police Department. A search warrant was also executed at the male’s residence for additional evidence. The male was charged with invasion of privacy and tampering with evidence. Bail was set at $50,000 no 10 percent option and he was committed to the Burlington County Jail. The investigation is ongoing and has yet to determine how long the camera had been in place and how many victims were recorded.

At 11:13 p.m. on May 2, Mt. Laurel Police responded to the Birchfield development for the report of a vehicle in a pond. Officers located a partially submerged vehicle in a pond off of Birchfield Court. The Mt. Laurel Fire Department responded to check the vehicle for occupants however, none were found. The investigation revealed that the vehicle was stolen from a residence on East Daisy Lane and then purposely rolled into the water. The suspect, a female, age 25, of Neptune had arrived at her former friend’s residence on East Daisy Lane and became enraged when she learned there was another person inside.

She forced her way into the residence and stole the keys to the vehicle. The female drove the car to Birchfield Court near the pond where she exited the car and let it roll into the water.

Arrest warrants were obtained for the female charging her with burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, and criminal mischief. Bail was set at $85,000 with no 10 percent option. At 6:30 p.m. on May 3, officers arrested the female during a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near Waverly Avenue. She was committed to the Burlington County Jail in default of bail.

At 1:20 p.m. On May 1, Mt. Laurel Police charged a male, age 33, of Logan Township with shoplifting. The male was identified as the suspect who stole $166 worth of cigarettes from the Wawa on South Church Street on April 16. He was served the charges at the Camden County Jail where he was being held on unrelated charges.

At 5:05 p.m. on April 29, Mt. Laurel Police responded to the TD Bank, 201 Ark Road, for the report of a subject attempting to cash a fraudulent check in the amount of $987.23. Responding officers stopped the suspect in her vehicle as she attempted to flee the bank. Officers arrested a female, age 19, of Wilmington, N.C. She was charged with forgery and attempted theft. Bail was set at $30,000 no 10 percent option and she was committed to the Burlington County Jail.

An employee of Ulta on Nixon Drive reported two women stole $1,639 worth of perfume on April 26. One suspect was described as a female, mid 30s, approximately 5.8” wearing a black baseball cap, maroon long sleeve shirt, tight camo pants and black combat boots. The second suspect was described as a female, mid-late 30’s, approximately 5’4” wearing a black and gray animal print jumpsuit with matching hat. They left the area in a gray Chevy Impala.

An employee of AC Moore on Nixon Drive reported someone stole $200 worth of paint at approximately 5:30 p.m. on April 26.

At midnight on April 25, Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 38 near Fostertown Road. During the stop officers arrested a female, age 30, of Bensalem, Pa. She was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (prescription pills) possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released pending a court hearing.

A resident on the first block of Foxcroft Way reported their residence was entered between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on April 24. The investigation revealed that entry to the residence was gained through an unlocked second floor window. The suspect used a ladder that was left at the rear of the house to reach the window. Jewelry was stolen.

A resident on the 1200 block of Yarmouth Lane reported their residence was entered between April 23 and April 24. The investigation revealed that entry to the residence was gained through an unlocked door on a second floor balcony. Jewelry was stolen.

Between April 22 and April 23, an unlocked vehicle parked on the 3200 block of Ramsbury Court was entered. A wallet and cash were taken.

On April 23, an employee of a hotel on Diemer Drive reported the theft of $2000 from a hotel safe. The investigation resulted in the arrest of a female hotel employee, age 42, of Cherry Hill. The female was charged with theft and bail was set at $10,000 no 10 percent option. She was committed to the Burlington County Jail.

On April 22, a counterfeit $100 bill was used at Sally’s Beauty Supply, 36 Centerton Road.

At 4:15 p.m. on April 22, Mt. Laurel Police conducted a pedestrian stop on Route 73 near I295. During the stop officers arrested a female, age 24, of Maple Shade, for several outstanding warrants. She was also found in possession of drugs and paraphernalia. The female was charged with possession of heroin, possession of a hypodermic syringe, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $12,500 no 10 percent option and she was committed to the Burlington County Jail.

At 11:15 a.m. on April 22, Mt. Laurel Police learned that a wanted person was staying at a hotel on Fellowship Road. Officers arrested a male, age 35, of Moorestown, for an outstanding warrant and possession of drugs. He was charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was committed to the Burlington County Jail.
