Two drivers suffer injuries after motor vehicle accident on MainĀ Street
The following information was provided by the Medford Township Police Department.
On May 5 at 2:45 p.m., Medford Township Police, Fire and EMS were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on South Main Street in Medford just north of Allen Avenue. An investigation revealed a 25-year-old driver from Marlton was northbound on South Main Street when another driver, an 18-year-old Medford resident, who was exiting a private driveway on to southbound South Main Street, believed no other vehicles were in the roadway. The Medford driver attempted to make a left turn in front of the other driver, causing a collision. The Marlton driverās vehicle, after the initial impact, continued northbound, nearly missing a light standard and came to rest after striking the front of a residence on South MainĀ St.
The Medford driver was transported to Virtua Marlton by Medford EMS for a minor head injury and was later released. The Marlton driver sustained minor burns and contusions to both of his arms but refused medical treatment at theĀ scene.
The Medford driver was issued a summons for improper emerging/exiting from a private driveway.
