Evesham Police DDACTS patrols lead to arrest of convicted felon with handgun

On May 5 at 8:08 a.m., an Evesham officer conducting DDACTS enforcement stopped a vehicle he observed being driven in an erratic manner on Route 73.

During the investigation of the stop Evesham Police K-9 Ciko was called upon to assist officers with the detection of narcotics.

K-9 Ciko was walked around the exterior of the suspect’s vehicle at which time he alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the car.

A subsequent search of the vehicle by officers resulted in the discovery of a handgun.

Arrested:

A male, age 24, of Philadelphia, was charged with second degree unlawful possession of a firearm and second degree possession of firearm by a convicted felon. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of $50,000 bail.
