New Jersey Natural Gas employee and Marlton resident Ed Jones, along with several coworkers, were recognized by the American Gas Association with the 2016 Meritorious Service Award. This award honors natural gas industry employees who demonstrate exceptional judgment and bravery in saving human life.
Responding to a natural gas leak on Feb. 24, American Gas Association officials said Ed and his coworkers displayed incredible courage and character in an extremely difficult situation, never once thinking about their own well-being, to manage the scene and ensure the safety of those around them.
Jones, along with his coworkers, recently accepted the American Gas Association’s 2016 Meritorious Service Award for their courage, judgment and quick actions that helped save human life.
