Trinity Community Concert Series presents the Gleeksman-Kohn Children’s Choir of the Settlement Music School on Sunday, April 10, at 4 p.m. This 150-voice choir of children ages 8 to 14 will perform music from around the world.
Choir members from each of Settlement’s six Philadelphia-area branches come together weekly throughout the year to learn proper vocal technique, note reading, sight-singing skills and singing in multiple languages, all while celebrating music from around the world. The choir, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra and in venues throughout the region.
The April 10 performance will be a homecoming for Gleeksman-Kohn director Rae Ann Anderson, who founded the Trinity Community Concert Series in 1989 while serving as Trinity’s Director of Music from 1988 to 1995.
The Gleeksman-Kohn Children’s Choir performance is the final concert in the 26th season of Trinity Community Concert Series. All concerts are open to the public in the beautifully refurbished and handicapped-accessible sanctuary of Trinity Presbyterian Church, 499 Route 70 East in Cherry Hill. Admission is a free will offering. A reception with light refreshments will follow the concert.
