Non-profit art groups across Burlington County receive $42,000 in grant money
Freeholder Director Bruce Garganio recently announced that a cross-section of local non-profit arts organizations and non-profit groups that showcase the arts were awarded $42,000 in grant funding by the Burlington County Freeholders.
“The grants, which require matching funds from the recipients, are part of a $84,076 grant from the N.J. State Council on the Arts,” Garganio said. “The remaining portion is funds some of our wonderful art programs like Teen Arts and Arts in the Park through the County Parks Department.”
This year’s grants were awarded to 13 organizations on the recommendations of a “peer panel,” or experts from the arts, that evaluated applications. The grants are given in accordance with funding guidelines handed down by the State.
“These awards provide support to local organizations housed here in Burlington County that heavily rely on dedicated volunteers,” Garganio said. “This is a tremendous opportunity for us to support and promote the talent and culture of our residents.”
