Osage is a wonderful school that nurtures the community. Every time I’ve visited Osage, for special education and other matters, I’ve seen dozens of smiling children. Meetings were productive and supportive, even when views about serious issues differed.
Recently, Osage held an assembly to support one of its students with cancer. Support like this embodies the essence of strong communities. Through modeling, through trying to help the child and her family, Osage’s actions helped to teach its students about concern and caring, two attributes that will long benefit them and Voorhees. I certainly hope it helped the child and her family.
Caring schools like Osage deserve our gratitude and support. Osage certainly has mine.
