The Camden County Library System will celebrate African American History Month with a special story time at five of its branch locations and other programs including film festivals.
Local story teller Don Dougherty returns to the library and offers an interactive story time about the legacy of Harriet Tubman and her role as a “conductor” on the Underground Railroad that helped escaped slaves reach freedom in the North.
Dougherty will be at the Voorhees Branch Library on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 6:30 p.m. with a program for all ages.
Registration is available online at www.camdencountylibrary.org/events or by calling the hosting branch.
Phone numbers are on the library’s website at www.camdencountylibrary.org/locations-hours .
