Our Lady of Good Counsel School’s 8th Grade Girl Scout Troop volunteered to help on Dec. 18. The girls spent several hours acting as elves to individuals shopping in the Christmas Shop. The staff was not only very appreciative, but also very impressed with the girls. The girls worked very hard and one even used her Spanish skills to help a Spanish-speaking client. The girls were asked to come back at Easter and help with the baskets. This troop is not only the longest-running troop at OLGC, but also is one of the longest-running troops in the area. Two of the girls have earned their Bronze Awards while at OLGC and have just started work on their Silver Awards.
