Following the end of their first season as Rowan College at Burlington County, the Barons picked up postseason awards from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and the National Junior College Athletic Association, including an All-American player for the third consecutive season.
This year, Midfielder Jack Hoey, of London, England, became the third RCBC player from Europe in the last three seasons to earn the NJCAA Division I Soccer All-American honor. Hoey follows Charlie Macaskill, also of London, who was awarded the honor last year and Jack Verth, of Edinburgh, Scotland, who became the first Baron to earn the All-American distinction in 17 years in 2013. Hoey was one of only two New Jersey players to make the All-American teams. He earned a spot on the Third Team of 2015’s Division I Men’s Soccer All-Americans.
Both Hoey and Macaskill also earned spots on the NSCAA Junior College Division I Men’s All-East Region. First Team honors went to Macaskill, along with teammate and forward Orlando Neto, of Fairview. Hoey was named to the Second Team.
In addition to being named the Player of the Year for the Region and Division, Lady Baron, Joan Logan, a forward from Jobstown, was named to the NSCAA Junior College Division I Women’s All-Northeast Region. Midfielder Allison Paonessa, of West Berlin, was also awarded the same honor.
The Lady Barons (12–5) ended their regular season as conference champions while the men’s team finished atop of the conference with a record of 12–3–1.
