In 2016, Markeim Arts Center will celebrate its 60th year — its Diamond Anniversary. In recognition of this milestone, Markeim is asking local, regional and national artists to interpret the title/theme, “Diamonds are Forever.” Artists are encouraged to be as literal, narrative, symbolic or whimsical in their interpretation of the theme.
New England artist, Sarah Diamond, will be the juror. Local artist Phil Shapiro is participating — so is nationally-know illustrator James Bennett.
