Camden County Freeholders to hold town hall tour event Lawnside tonight

On Sept. 22 starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Lawnside Community Center, 323 E. Charleston Avenue, Lawnside, the Freeholder Board will meet in Lawnside for the next in a series of town hall meetings across Camden County called “your government in your neighborhood.”

“We want to create another level of access and opportunity to elected officials from your congressman down to your mayor and update residents on projects and programming that is taking place in their neighborhood and across Camden County,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “This will provide constituents with the ability to ask questions and get answers straight from a representative of the governing body and for elected officials to hear directly from their community.”

Cappelli talked about the importance of direct public feedback to make operations stronger.

“We know that the programs and services provided by Camden County impact you and your family. That is why we strive to enhance the quality of life for all residents, and invite your input in order to make those improvements,” Cappelli said. “Please join us for an evening with your elected officials from all levels of government.”

Following the town hall meeting at 7:30 p.m. the Freeholder Board will host a services fair featuring representatives from numerous county departments. Residents will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with staff from Constituent Services, Veterans Affairs, Senior Services, Health and Human Services, and the One-Stop Employment and Training Center just to name a few.
