On Tuesday, Sept. 8, Resurrection Catholic School’s newly revamped preschool opened with 41 students, filling nearly every available seat, in both the 3-year-old and 4-year-old classes. Resurrection’s program was expanded this year to meet the needs of more families, and the teachers and aides worked throughout the summer months to plan a new schedule and a challenging curriculum.
Given the opportunity to attend full days, the preschool students will now eat lunch in the school cafeteria, attend school liturgies, and be offered many of the specials classes received by the kindergarten through eighth grade students at Resurrection Catholic — making them feel like a true part of the school community.
