Those looking for an opportunity to give back to the community are invited to attend “The Adult Youth & Family Volunteer Opportunities Fair” set for Saturday, Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Burlington County Library in Westamtpon.
Hosted by the Burlington County Library System in partnership with the Volunteer Center of Burlington County, the fair will showcase a variety of organizations in need of a helping hand. During the event, representatives will be available to discuss both individual and group volunteer opportunities.
In addition to the Burlington County Library System and the Volunteer Center, some of the organizations expected to be present are: Burlington County Health Department; Burlington County Medical Reserve Corps; Burlington County Municipal Alliances; Compassionate Friends Therapeutic Riding Center; CONTACT of Burlington County; Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund; Life Choice Hospice; Masonic Home of New Jersey; New Jersey Orators, Inc.; New Jersey State House Tour Program; Oaks Integrated Care; Rancocas Nature Center; and RSVP — Retired Senior Volunteer Program Burlington County.
Founded in 1996, the Volunteer Center of Burlington County is a private, nonprofit organization that provides and promotes volunteer opportunities, programs and services to meet community needs.
