Freeholder Director Mary Ann O’Brien recently announced that a Local Arts and History Grant Workshop would be held Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. at the Smithville Mansion Annex Gallery at Historic Smithville Park in Eastampton. All arts and history non-profit organizations are strongly encouraged to attend.

“The workshop will focus on the re-grant application and process for arts and history, including budget forms, narratives and attachments,” O’Brien said. “Additionally, the workshop will cover how to bring full accessibility to your organization’s programming.

“Being accessible is more than ramps and bathrooms — it is an organizational sensibility that includes marketing, planning, board development, and audience growth.” O’Brien said. “Finally, the workshop will examine strategic plans and annual reports — where does your organization want to be in five years and what is it doing today to get there? Keeping your eyes on the prize can be difficult when daily challenges are being tackled.”
