The Samaritan Center for Grief Support, a member of the Samaritan Family of Services, has announced its September support group schedule.
“Grief is a natural, healthy and universal emotion. It helps us accept a loss and begin to heal. You don’t have to grieve alone,” says Kim Rumaker, Manager of the Samaritan Center for Grief Support.
The following support groups will be offered by the Samaritan Center for Grief Support staff beginning in September:
— Sharing in Grief and Hope ($40–8 sessions) — For anyone who has lost a family member or friend.
Sessions start Tuesday, Sept. 1 at 6 p.m. at Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice Center for Grief — 5 Eves Drive, Marlton.
— The Grieving Heart — For adults grieving the loss of a family member or friend.
Located at Virtua Memorial in Mt. Holly — 175 Madison Ave, Mt Holly and Hammonton Library — 451 S Egg Harbor Rd, Hammonton.
The Mt. Holly session will take place Sept. 12 from 2–3:30 p.m.
The Hammonton session will take place Sept. 19 from 10–11:30 a.m.
— Daughters Without Mothers ($35–7 Sessions) — For daughters grieving the loss of their mother.
Sessions start Monday, Sept. 14 at 6–7:30 p.m. at Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Haddonfield — 204 Wayne Avenue, Haddonfield.
— Grieving the Love of Your Life ($40–8 Sessions) — For those grieving the loss of a spouse or partner. Sessions start Monday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice Center for Grief — 5 Eves Drive, Marlton.
Samaritan’s grief support groups are open to anyone in the community, but registration is required at (856) 596–8550. Other Center services include grief counseling for adults and children, and PTSD services for active military and veterans.
