Mt. Laurel Police arrested a man earlier this week after he threatened to kill an 18-year-old victim and struck him with a baseball bat.
On Aug. 3 at 5:45 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police responded to the 200 block of Larchmont Boulevard for an assault report. On arrival, officers met an 18-year-old male victim who reported that he was at the home of an acquaintance on Calderwood Lane when he got into a dispute with others at the house. The victim reported that one of them threatened to kill him and struck him several times with a baseball bat. The victim received minor injuries.
The investigation led to the arrest of a 20-year-old Mt. Laurel man. He was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and terroristic threats. Bail was set at $60,000 with no 10 percent option and he was committed to the Burlington County Jail.
Another 20-year-old Mt. Laurel man was also arrested and charged with hindering the apprehension of the first man. The investigation determined the second man provided false information to the investigating officers. He was released pending a court hearing.
