The Alice Paul Institute is celebrating Women’s Equality Day, the 95th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, on Aug. 26 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Paulsdale.
Join the institute for an open house, a tour of Paulsdale, children’s activities, information about the institute and a preview of its upcoming exhibit.
Stay for a limited screening of “Iron Jawed Angels,” starring Hilaary Swank as Alice Paul. The movie follows Paul in her efforts to pass the 19th Amendment.
Admission to the open house and to the movie is free, but registration for a pass to view the movie is required. Only 50 passes are available. The movie begins at 7 p.m.
