The following information was provided by the Haddonfield Police Department:
On Tuesday, July 28 at approximately 3:30 p.m. the suspect of the armed robbery and priest carjacking that occurred on June 16 at the Haddonfield Rite Aid pharmacy was arrested. The suspect, Donald Hart of Mantua was taken into custody in Cherry Hill.
A Haddonfield officer temporally assigned to the Detective Bureau, gathered information on the suspects whereabouts. While enroute to confirm the suspect’s location, the officer observed the suspect’s vehicle traveling in Cherry Hill. The officer followed the suspect into the parking lot of a convenience store and called for the assistance of the Cherry Hill Police Department. Officers from the Haddonfield Police Department along with officers the Cherry Hill Police Department affected the arrest without incident.
Hart was charged with robbery, carjacking, aggravated assault and weapons offenses and remanded to the Camden County Jail in lieu of $315,000 cash bail.
On July 20, a 19-year-old man of Camden was arrested and charged for committing multiple vehicle burglaries. He was remanded in lieu of posting bond. All vehicles were unlocked.
