GODSPELL, a timeless tale of friendship, loyalty and love based on the Gospel According to St. Matthew will be presented by the Voorhees Theatre Company. GODSPELL will be performed by local high school and college age performers on Aug 6, 7 and 8 @ 7:30 pm, in the Voorhees Schools Theater at Voorhees Middle School, 1000 Holly Oak Drive. GODSPELL features a parade of beloved songs including the international hit, “Day By Day.” In GODSPELL, the parables are told using a variety of games, storytelling techniques and a hefty dose of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs ranging in style from pop to vaudeville is employed to tell the Gospel Story dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion. Jesus’s messages of kindness, tolerance and love come vibrantly to life by VTC’s young adult cast.
