The following comes from Evesham Township Police Lt. Joseph Friel:
On July 11 at 10:45 a.m., an officer patrolling inside the DDACTS Zone conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 70. During the investigation Evesham Police K-9 Ciko was called upon to assist officers with the detection of narcotics. K-9 Ciko was walked around the exterior of the suspect’s vehicle at which time he alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the car. A subsequent search of the vehicle by officers resulted in the discovery of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Arrested:
A male, age 33, of Marlton, was charged with third degree possession of cocaine and a disorderly persons offense for possession of drug paraphernalia. He also had $1,600 in outstanding warrants out Cherry Hill Township and was turned over to the Cherry Hill Police Department.
