Four Cherry Hill high school students participating in Rutgers-Camden BizEd program

The best and the brightest high school students who will one day be leaders in the business community are learning what it takes to succeed in the industry during Rutgers University–Camden’s annual BizEd program.

During “BizEd: Building Business Leaders,” a select group of rising high school seniors participate in a two-week summer camp to prepare for the rigors of collegiate business education. The program runs July 7 to 16 at the Rutgers School of Business–Camden.

“The BizEd program provides a balanced view of business education that most students are not exposed to until after they graduate from high school,” said Rutgers–Camden business dean Jaishankar Ganesh. “This presents a creative way to better prepare teenagers for success as college students and as professionals in a way that challenges and engages them.”

Throughout the course of the BizEd program, the students — all budding entrepreneurs, marketing professionals, accountants, and finance experts — have the opportunity to meet leading executives throughout southern New Jersey, visit local companies, and participate in team building and problem solving activities designed to develop skills essential to being a successful business professional.

Now in its 15th year, the BizEd summer program provides insight into the theory and practice of accounting, finance, management, marketing, and technology. Since 2001, more than 400 top high school students from across New Jersey have participated in the program.

The following Cherry Hill residents are participating in BizEd this year:
