Burglary, theft top Mt. Laurel Police Blotter this week

The following information was provided by the Mt. Laurel Police Department.

On June 23 at 10:10 a.m., Mt. Laurel Police responded to a business on the 4100 block of Church Road for a trespassing complaint. The property manager reported that when employees arrived on location to check the vacant property they found a man in the building who refused to leave. Arriving officers located and arrested a 42-year-old man from Mt. Laurel. He was charged with trespassing and released pending a court hearing.

On June 23 at 9:40 p.m. a resident on the 600 block of South Cascade Drive reported that he observed a flashlight shine through his bedroom window. The victim observed a heavy-set subject open his bedroom window and attempt to enter. The victim yelled at the suspect who then ran from the scene. Arriving officers were not able to locate the suspect.

A resident of the 900 block of Courtney Way reported that her 2005 Ford Escape was stolen on June 24 between 1 and 6 a.m.

On June 26 at 12:06 a.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near Interstate-295. During the stop officers arrested a 22-year-old man from Stratford. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.

A resident of Wedel Avenue reported that their 2007 Kia Spectra was stolen sometime during the overnight hours of June 25 into June 26.

A resident of the first block of Wembley Drive reported that an undetermined amount of cash was stolen from their locked vehicle during the overnight hours of June 25 into June 26. The driver side door lock appeared damaged.

A victim reported that two credit cards and some cash were stolen from her purse while she was shopping at Target on Centerton Road on June 26 between 10:50 and 11:50 a.m.

A victim reported that someone stole her wallet from her purse while she was at Panera Bread on June 28 at approximately 2 p.m. The victim had her purse slung over the back of her chair while she dined at the restaurant. A short time later the victim’s credit card was used to make a $1,500 purchase at a Best Buy.

A victim reported that someone stole her cell phone on June 28 after it was left unattended in a conference room at a hotel on Fellowship Road.
