Moorestown boys relay finishes 10th in nation

Racing in the Championship 800 Sprint Medley, the team of Skyler Clark, John Cedano and Melvin Sheppard and Brandon Outlaw set a new Moorestown High School record and placed 10th at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals in Greensboro, N.C. The meet, hosted at North Carolina A&T University, featured the nationā€™s best high school track and field athletes. Clark led off the relay and handed to Cedano who ran the backstretch. Sheppard reeled in two teams during in his 200-meter leg that he ran in 21.90. Anchor leg Outlaw covered the 400-meter oval in 48.41 seconds. He breezed past four teams allowing Moorestown to finish 2nd in its section. Their time of 1:33.79 broke the previous record 1:34.86, also run at the Outdoor Nationals, set by Zach Miller, Otto Katt, Steve Phillips and Chris Leonberg inĀ 2004.
