Mayor Chuck Cahn and Cherry Hill Police Chief Bud Monaghan invite members of the public and local religious leaders to join us for a special Walk with the Mayor in solidarity with the community of Charleston, S.C., at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, in the Grand Court at Cherry Hill Mall.
“The Cherry Hill community stands in support of the people of Charleston, and this Tuesday, we will walk together for two miles in memory of those killed in this heinous act of violence,” said Mayor Cahn. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Charleston, especially the victims and their loved ones. As a country, and as human beings, we need to do better. Please join us on Tuesday to stand together against hatred, bigotry and such senseless disregard for human life.”
The event coincides with a previously scheduled Walk with the Mayor and Cherry Hill Police, an annual event sponsored by Cherry Hill Township and the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign. Members of the police department, township staff, members of the public and representatives from Cherry Hill congregations will be in attendance.
Participants should enter the mall through the entrance next to Bobby’s Burger Palace, off of Route 38, and meet near the guest services kiosk in the Mall’s Grand Court.
