Evesham Police motor vehicle stop leads to heroin arrest

On May 23 at 5:30 p.m., an officer patrolling inside the DDACTS Zone conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle after the motorist was observed talking on their cell phone. During the officer’s approach to the vehicle he observed numerous packets of Heroin protruding from underneath the driver’s leg. The driver immediately surrendered the Heroin to the officer and was placed under arrest.

Arrested:

A male, age 31, of Mount Laurel, was charged with third degree possession of heroin and a disorderly persons offense for drug paraphernalia. He was released on his own recognizance.
